Research Associate 


The Research Associate will be an important member of our Research group, responsible for conducting routine and semi-complex experiments and applying relevant knowledge and techniques to support the Scientific staff. 


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  

  • Conduct in vitro biochemical assays with fluorescent, luminescent and FRET-based readouts.·    

  • Experience measuring RNA binding with small molecules via fluorescence, BLI, ITC, MST is highly desirable.

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture; experience with patient-derived cells, iPSCs and iPSNs is preferred.

  • Ability to isolate RNA, DNA and protein from cells and tissues.

  • Conduct RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis and qPCR.

  • Familiarity with standard laboratory instruments, computers and office and laboratory software.

  • Support upkeep and maintenance of laboratory equipment. 

  • Maintain detailed records of experimental data. Able to present data both orally and in writing.

  • Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values, policies and all applicable regulations.


Minimum Requirements:

  1. ​Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, biology, or a related field. 

  2. At least one year of additional research experience in an industrial or academic setting. 

  3. Experience conducting experiments and interpreting experimental data; hands on experience is required.
